Hebrews 13

Hebrews 13

I don’t know about you but for me, the hardest part of writing essays at school was the conclusions. I never knew what to say, I should’ve looked at Hebrews cause the writer ends with a brilliant conclusion.

He starts with practical ways we can live to please God. Showing hospitality to strangers, (mainly for adults that one), remembering those who are in prison, those who are mistreated, being faithful in marriage (another one for the adults) and not craving money and things but rather being satisfied with what His has given you.
After spending a lot of the early part of the book exposing how great Jesus is; Better than any angel, king or priest, he tells us that He is the same yesterday, today and forever. His greatness and Kingdom will go on forever.
He also concludes by again reminding that the old Jewish system is no longer needed as Christ has made the ultimate sacrifice us.
He ends with a blessing and prayer that those reading remember what they’ve learnt. I hope you do too. Maybe pray this passage replacing “you” with “me”..

“Now may the God of peace- who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great Shepard of the sheep, may he equip you with all you need for doing his will. May he produce in you, through the power of Jesus Christ, every good thing that is pleasing to him,
All glory to him for ever and ever!
