Romans 12

Romans 12

A Living Sacrifice

We are all different but we share the same purpose. We all have God given gifts. We should use these gifts to the full in our lives to the benefit of others and to please God.

Some of us can sing well, others dance well. Some of us can run really fast or play sports well. Some us are good at maths, others are good at art or another subject. Some of us are great listeners, others great speakers. Some of us work well in a team, others lead teams well.

In everything we do we are serving other people. We give pleasure to others by showing off our gifts. And so we should encourage others to develop their gifts so they can be shared. We are all God’s children and we are “all in it together”. We should use our gifts and by using them we praise God. In this way we share the fruits of the spirit. We grow to serve and serve to grow. It is a cycle and our renewal is continuous.

The one who was sitting on the throne said, “Look, I am making everything new!” Rev 21:5

Open my eyes Lord to what you are doing in the world around me. Amen

Is there a gift that someone has that you feel they could share more? How might they celebrate this gift?
