God wants our love of him to be on our lips as well as in our hearts. There will be many difficult times when our hearts can be hardened and we do not see or hear his word. But we must remain faithful and remember his invitation to us. In the past those who remained faithful were known as the remnant of Israel. We must not forget that although Jesus was taken from us at Easter he then returned. We should be hungry to testify about our belief and faith as it will help others whose hearts have been hardened.
I am sure we all remember when we were having a hard time and how someone else helped us. It might have just been a kind word, or a smile, or a pat on the back, or an arm around the shoulder. There are many ways that we can help each other when things go wrong. Maybe this is a way we are being tested. It is easy to keep going when everything is working well but in times of trouble we need help. Where does that help come from? From friends and family , yes, but also from our core beliefs, our inner strength, our faith.
Then Jesus cried out, “When he (who believes in me) looks at me, he sees the one who sent me.” Dear Lord, please open my eyes to your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen
Ask yourself what is in your heart ?
